Random Cuteness

I was just looking at a book my mom gave me. She printed out all of my blog entries from the beginning of the blog up to Halloween last year and put them into a book for me. I was just looking at it and had the realization that I started this blog the day after Josie was born. Oooooh. Do you have a few chills? I guess I knew it was time to start.

Now, let the cuteness begin:

Phoebe all dressed for a party on Saturday. She looks so grown up.

Jo this morning giving her baby some love.

I took these pictures because I just love seeing her forehead. I know. I'm strange.

Phoebe finishing up another day of homeschool. Only 3 more left this school year. Yep. She gets out almost a month earlier than public school. Wheee.

Because It's Been a While

I figured I should take some pictures of the girls, so you'd remember what they look like.

Jo loves her bike! She'll ride it inside or out.

I actually managed to get her to look at me for a picture!

Phoebe obliged when I asked if I could take a picture of her next to the giant rose bush in our backyard. It's a "knockout rose" and it is made for me! You stick it in the ground and walk away. It was just a wee little thing two years ago when I planted it. I forgot to prune it in February, so it's kinda gone nuts.

Phoebe's getting kinda tall herself.

And just to get all artsy on you...

Scenes

The last weekend in March, Allen and I went to NYC. It was our first time to leave Jo overnight. I had no worries, though. She loves my parents, who came to watch the girls, and has my dad wrapped around her dainty little finger. (You know it's true, Dad). While I was going through pictures for this post, Jo kept reaching for the computer saying, "Ba-ba, Ba-ba, Ba-ba" over and over. She loves her Paw-paw.

Everyone had a blast and everything was fine. They even got P to her 8:00 soccer game Saturday morning (the only one of the season -- sorry).

Here was our view during the weekend.
Looking down on Times Square.

The Hudson River is in the distance.

The Empire State peaking out from behind another building.

The Chrysler Building sticking up in the middle (and reflecting in the building). Did you know you can open the window and stick your hand and camera outside on the 52nd floor?

Here was their view during the weekend.

I'm realize that I'm not posting a lot of pictures of P, but she was probably in constant motion, playing with neighborhood friends and her cousins on her bike and scooter.

Soccer Anyone?

Saturday was a gorgeous day for soccer. The grass on the fields was so nice, if not a bit long for soccer, that several adults were taking off their shoes just to get their toes down into it.

The day started with team pics.

P had a bit of a slow start when she went in for the second period. (This picture really just makes me giggle and reminds me of one of the many things that makes me love P)

OK, here we go with some action.

This picture gave me a flash of the future. She looks so old.

Jo was happy to help finish off the grapes from half time.

Go Phoebe. Or, as Jo says, "Yay Beebee!!!"

This team was the one team that beat us last season. They managed it again Saturday. It was a 12-8 game, so pretty good anyway. Our girls were just wiped out by the fourth quarter. Phoebe took it in stride.
