On the way to church, around 6:00, it was actually snowing a little bit. And why not? It is MARCH after all and we've barely had any cold weather all winter. Ah, Texas.
When we left church about 7:45 it was "pouring" snow. OK, I'd say "pouring" if it were rain. I have very little experience with large amounts of snow falling from the sky. What's the word used for that? It was pretty hard to see while driving with the snow blowing straight at the windshield. But we made it home.
That's when it occurred to me...Has my South China girl ever seen snow? I know she hasn't in the last 9 months. So, we had to take pictures. The first one makes my eyes a bit misty.

What a day. Today, of course is supposed to be in the 50's. Most of the snow is already gone, but the neighborhood kids did start congregating outside at about 7:30 this morning and played for a couple of hours. They had a blast.

we have such fun passing her aorund!! and we all know that it will come to a screching halt when her next phase of separation anxiety hits - as it developmentally should - so we're taking advantage while we can!!
Who knew I would be teaching my 12-year old the defensive driving technique of watching the closest parallel curb just to figure out the road lay-out on the way home?! It was fun to get some snow - I love the pics of J in it!!
Love the pictures! Wish we'd gotten N out of bed to see the snow. By the time we got up the next morning, everything had melted except what was on the roof.
That is a great picture! The first time I showed E snow she just seemed irritated. I wanted to take Iz out but she doesn't even have a jacket yet. Hasn't needed one this year.
Must be nice to be able to pass the baby. I might go to church more often if people ran off with my children. LOL
